Lewangamage, Dr. Buddhika Weerasinghe<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6a58ef7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6a58ef7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I led a team of nine students in a project aimed at designing a self-sustainable technological faculty building complex for Sabaragamuwa University in Sri Lanka. The complex was meticulously planned to maximize the efficient use of land, with special attention given to preserving the native ecological aspects of the site. Consequently, the buildings were strategically designed to seamlessly integrate into the natural environment.<\/p><p>In addition to adhering to local regulations and guidelines, we prioritized ensuring the structural integrity of the designed buildings. This was achieved through the implementation of finite element modeling and standard structural design methods. I played a key role in the University of Moratuwa&#8217;s Civil Engineering Society. As the chair of the external affairs committee, I initiated the Skill Up with CES project to enhance academic and industrial knowledge for civil engineering undergraduates in Sri
